§ Mr. MONTAGUA new method of preparing pay bills and regimental accounts, which is referred to by the Esher Committee, has been introduced in the Military Accounts Department from 1st January last. The Government of India are considering certain further questions regarding the system of military accounts and organisation of the Military Accounts Department, but I am not yet aware of the nature of their recommendations.
