asked the Chief Secretary how many men have been killed in attempting to escape from the custody of the forces of the Crown in Ireland and how many have been wounded but subsequently have recovered since 1st January, 1919?

The number of persons who have been killed while attempting to escape from custody since 1st January, 1919, is 49 I am unable to give the number wounded.
