§ Sir R. SANDERSThe total number of staff employed at Kew Gardens is 220, comprising 36 administrative and scientific staff and 184 industrial (labourers, gardeners, etc.). The number of ex-service men already employed is 145. Overtime is reduced to the lowest possible amount, but it cannot be obviated entirely by the employment of additional stall owing to the nature of the duties to be performed.
