HC Deb 01 March 1921 vol 138 cc1649-50W
Sir A. YEO

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in cases of the Chinese form of adoption of children in the colony of Hong Kong, a formal contract known as a deed of presentation is entered into by the parties; and whether a copy of this form can be laid before the House?

Lieut.-Colonel AMERY

The form of contract referred to is, I understand, usually known as "sung tip" or "document of presentation." I will ask the Governor to forward to me a translation of the form in common use, and will show it to my hon. Friend.
