§ Mr. MONTAGUTo obtain reliable figures of the number of officers now serving with Indian cavalry it will be necessary for me to refer to India. The subject of the second and third portions of the hon. and gallant Member's question is at the present time under consideration by a Committee appointed by the Government of India, whose Report I hope to receive shortly.
