HC Deb 21 June 1921 vol 143 cc1117-8W
Sir. H. BRITTAIN

asked the Postmaster-General whether he can inform the House as to the approximate number of inland postcards despatched through the mail during the first week at the l£d. rate; and how this number compares with previous weeks?

Mr. PEASE

I am sorry that it is not possible to give my hon. Friend this in- formation. Returns of the volume of postal traffic are taken for a week in the autumn or winter, and until these returns are completed I cannot give any estimate of the number of postcards passing through the post.
