HC Deb 20 June 1921 vol 143 cc915-6W
Mr. SWAN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been called to the statement recently made by the Japanese Ambassador in Constantinople to the effect that his Government would be willing to undertake the transport of General Wrangel's troops to the Far East to enable them to assist in the reactionary coup in Vladivostock; and whether he has any information that any other form of assistance has been received by General Verzhbitzky from the Japanese Government?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

So far as His Majesty's Government are aware, the Japanese High Commissioner at Constantinople has made no statement with regard to the transportation of General Wrangel's troops to the Far East. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.
