§ Mr. GWYNNEasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to the report of a meeting held at St. Albans on 25th May to protest against reprisals in Ireland, when 16 persons voted against a resolution expressing disapproval of an attempt to murder two citizens of St. Albans; and whether any steps have been taken by the police to identify those who thus expressed their sympathy with criminal acts committed presumably by the Sinn Fein gang in England?
§ Mr. SHORTTI am informed that the persons who voted against the resolution are believed to have been expressing disapproval of the mover and others rather than approval of the outrage or sympathy with criminal acts. Their names and addresses could no doubt be ascertained, but I do not think the information would serve any useful purpose.
