STANIERasked the Minister of Agriculture the amount of the special grants which are being given by the Governments of the Dominion of Canada and the Commonwealth of Australia in aid of the expenses of the delegations from those countries to the world's poultry congress to be held at The Hague in September next; and what monetary assistance the English Ministry of Agriculture proposes to grant to the delegation proceeding from the United Kingdom?
§ Sir R. SANDERSThe Ministry has ascertained that the High Commissioner for Canada has no knowledge that any1176W such grant has been promised by the Canadian Government, and the High Commissioner for Australia states that the matter is under the consideration of his Government. The Ministry is in communication with the Treasury as to a grant to the British Congress Committee, but a decision has not yet been reached as to the amount, and in view of the urgent necessity for economy the grant, if any, will only be a small one.
