HC Deb 22 February 1921 vol 138 cc781-2W
Mr. MILLS

asked the Secretary of State for War how many public halls and buildings requisitioned during the War are still retained by the War Office and, if so, for what reason; and is he aware that Shrewsbury, a town of considerable size, is still awaiting the release of its music hall for their own enjoyment and to relieve the distress in the theatrical profession?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

The information asked for in the first part of the question is not available in the War Office, and returns are being obtained from the commands. As regards the latter part, alternative accommodation is now being provided, and the music hall will be vacated at an early date.
