Major HENDERSONasked the Postmaster-General whether, before putting the proposed new telephone rates into operation, he will be prepared to set up a Committee to consider the question of expenditure on the telephone system, with a view to possible economies in working, and the possibility of local authorities in suitable areas taking over control of the system by lease or purchase?
