HC Deb 22 February 1921 vol 138 c776W
Lieut.-Colonel MURRAY

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether he has information to the effect that trawlers have been conducting operations inside the three-mile limit off the Kincardineshire coast; and, if so, whether he will take such steps as are necessary to prevent this from happening?

Mr. MUNRO

Two vessels, alleged to Lave been trawling within the three-mile limit off Kincardineshire coast, were detected during January, and the cases have been referred to the Procurator Fiscal. Apart from these, no complaints of illegal trawling on this part of the coast have been received by the Fishery Board for Scotland for a considerable time. An efficient patrol is being maintained by the Board's vessels and no further steps appear necessary.
