§ Mr. D. GRAHAMasked the Secretary of State for War the conditions under which soldiers may purchase their discharge from the Army; whether the payments demanded are greater in some cases than in others; and, if so, the reasons why there should be any difference in payment?
§ Sir A. WILLIAMSONThe conditions governing discharge from the Army by purchase are contained in the Royal War- 777W rant for Pay, etc., of the Army and in the King's Regulations. The amounts of the purchase money are laid down in Army Order 180 of 1920, a copy of which I am sending the hon. Member.
