HC Deb 21 February 1921 vol 138 c583W
Mr. E. HARMSWORTH

asked the Minister of Transport how many motorcars are at present in use by the various Government Departments?

Sir E. GEDDES

The pool of cars taken over at the end of the War by the Ministry of Transport for the general use of Government Departments in London, has steadily been reduced, and now all the cars have either been sold or are awaiting sale. The War Departments have cars for their own purposes, and I believe that there are some 23 other cars in use by Civilian Departments, but I am not responsible for these, and perhaps my hon. Friend will address questions to the Departments responsible if he desires further information.
