HC Deb 17 February 1921 vol 138 c290W
Major WHELER

asked the Minister of Food whether the Wheat Commission are still continuing to buy wheat; the amounts of wheat bought by the Commission since January, 1920, and the date of the most recent purchase from any foreign country or overseas Dominion?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

The-Royal Commission on Wheat Supplies are still making purchases from time to time as they find necessary. It is not considered in the public interest to disclose the amounts of their purchases, but I may say that the most recent purchase of imported wheat was made on Friday last, the 11th instant. The wheat in this case was Australian wheat.
