§ Mr. SHORTTIn the absence of further particulars, the case referred to in the question cannot be identified with certainty, but I have ascertained that a complaint was made to the police by two persons of a case of dangerous driving at the date and place referred to. No police officer witnessed the incident, but the police traced the owner of the car, and offered assistance to the complainants to prosecute the driver. They declined to appear, however, and no other evidence being available, it was impossible to take any proceedings.
