§ Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Prime Minister whether the Commissioners at Oppeln have yet reported on the Silesian boundary; whether the decision on this question rests with the Commissioners at Oppeln or on the Supreme Council; whether it is of importance that the decision should be made at once so that Germany may make her reparations offer knowing her assets before 1st May; and will he take steps to hasten the decision so that there may be the best possible chance of an offer from Germany?
§ The PRIME MINISTERThe answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The final decision rests with 2109W the principal Allied Powers, who will fix the boundary after consideration of the report of the Plebiscite Commission. His Majesty's Government fully realise the importance of an early settlement, and the British representative on the Commission has been instructed to do his best to expedite it.
