HC Deb 21 April 1921 vol 140 c2088W
Mr. BRIANT

asked the Chief Secretary how many of the 165 members of the forces of the Crown who were brought to trial since 1st January were tried for murder; and what were the verdicts and punishments, if any, in such cases?

Five members of the Crown forces have been tried by court-martial for murder since the 1st January last. In four cases the verdict was one of acquittal, and in the fifth case the decision of the court has not yet been promulgated.
