Lieut.-Commander YOUNGI hope to publish the next issue of this Return towards the end of the current Session.
§ Sir C. COBBasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the next issue 1554W of the annual Return of expenditure from rates and taxes under certain Acts of Parliament on public assistance, in continuance of Parliamentary Paper, No. 160, of 1920, he will give estimates of future expenditure from rates and taxes under different Acts on the Schedule, the administrative expenditure for smaller districts than England and Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, of counties, county boroughs, and boroughs, so as to set up some standard of administrative cost, and the beneficiaries under these Acts by family units in certain typical districts, so as to show the receipts of families and the extent of overlapping?
Lieut.-Commander YOUNGI regret that it would not be possible to amplify this Return in the manner suggested without incurring disproportionate expenditure of time and money.
