Friend will find, on pages 145–6 of the "Labour Gazette" for March—a copy of which I am sending him—the most recent authoritative figures in the possession of the Ministry of Labour as to unemployment in each of the countries named. I hope to be able to give the corresponding figures for a month later in the April issue of the "Labour Gazette," a copy of which will be sent my hon. Friend when issued.
