§ Sir J. BETHELLasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the necessity for increased consumption of milk, especially by children, he will take steps to secure a reduction in the retail price, fixed at 8d. per quart in London for the summer months?
§ Sir P. LLOYD-GREAMEI have been asked to reply. The prices of milk have been entirely free from control for more than a year, and it is not proposed, unless it should prove necessary in an emergency, to utilise the powers of the Board of Trade to fix prices.
