§ Mr. SWANasked the President of the Board of Trade what are the certain forms of glass manufacturing which the Government has recognised as a key industry; what are the measures which it is taking to protect the growth of this industry in Great Britain; and whether he will explain the need for such protection, in view of the shortage and demand for all kinds of glass?
§ Sir P. LLOYD-GREAMEI hope to introduce, in the course of the present Session, legislation to give effect to the policy of His Majesty's Government in respect of key industries, and I am sure the hon. Member will appreciate that it is impracticable to discuss the details of that measure in advance.
