§ Mr. F. ROBERTSasked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to what extent the recommendations of the Royal Commission of 1914 on the Civil Service are being carried out with regard to the Foreign Office and Diplomatic Service?
Mr. HARMSWORTHEffect has been' given to the recommendations of the Royal Commission to the fullest extent, so far as it has been found in practice possible to do so. If there are particulars with which the hon. Member would wish to be furnished I shall be glad to communicate them to him.
