HC Deb 22 October 1920 vol 133 c1228W
Mr. RAMSDEN

asked the Minister of Food why it is necessary to get a permit to obtain bee candy for feeding bees when the said candy is rendered not fit for human consumption and can be used for no other purpose?

Mr. McCURDY

The restriction referred to by the hon. Member was imposed to prevent the diversion to other purposes of sugar allocated for feeding bees. In view of the improvement of the sugar supplies, its removal is now under consideration.
