§ Mr. RENDALLasked the Minister of Labour whether a rural auxiliary postman doing over five hours' delivery duties daily is insurable by the Post Office under the Unemployment Insurance Act; and, if so, whether such an employed person is automatically insured or must himself bake any steps to secure insurance?
1108W
§ Sir M. BARLOWThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. AS regards the second part I may say that the insured person is required to make application for an unemployment book. The application may be made at any Employment Exchange or Branch Employment Office. The book when obtained must be handed to the employer.
