asked the Minister of Transport what amounts, forming the sum of £102,405,875, received by the controlled railways of Great Britain during the financial year 1919–20 in respect of passenger train traffic, were derived, respectively, from ordinary passengers, season tickets, workmen's tickets, mails, parcels up to 2 cwt., and other merchandise?

As the railway companies' accounts are compiled for each calendar year, it is not possible to give the details for which the hon. Member asks in respect of the financial year 1919–20. The total receipts for the passenger train traffic of the controlled railways in Great Britain in 1919 are estimated in round figures at £101,700,000, made up as follows:—
