HC Deb 26 November 1920 vol 135 c814W
Captain TERRELL

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture the reason why the Oxford-shire county council do not approve the application for a small holding of Mr. Giles Holland, of Great Milton, Wallingford, more especially as he is an ex-service man with a good record, and is not in a position to take a farm himself?

Sir A. BOSCAWEN

I am informed by the Oxford County Council that when the applicant in question was interviewed, there was a prospect of him joining his father on a farm at Milton. The Committee, therefore, postponed the consideration of his application until this matter was decided. I understand that up to the present no further application has been received by the council from Mr. Holland.
