HC Deb 25 November 1920 vol 135 c665W
Mr. ALLEN PARKINSON

asked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware that the widow of Private John Thomas Hilton, No. 11382, 6th Border Regiment, who was killed in Gallipoli in 1915, has not yet received any pension; and if he will state the reason why no pension has been granted in this case?

Mr. MACPHERSON

Mrs. Hilton left her late husband three years before his enlistment, and the late soldier did not contribute to her support. She is not, therefore, entitled under the Royal Warrant to an award of pension as a widow or as a separated wife.
