HC Deb 25 November 1920 vol 135 c677W
Mr. J. DAVISON

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has received any communications from ex-service men's associations protesting against the amount of overtime being worked by Post Office employés; whether it is a fact that a large amount of overtime is being worked in the various branches of the service; and, if so, in view of the large numbers of ex-service men still seeking employment, he will consider the possibility of employing a larger number of them in the service?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. On the subject of the second part I beg to refer the hon. Member to the answer to a question by the hon. Member for Nottingham (West) (Mr. Hayday) given on the 11th instant.
