asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he has yet completed the inquiries into the damaging to the extent of £2,000 and the attempted burning of the Co-operative Creamery at Abberdorney on 18th October and the. assault on the manager; whether he is taking steps to protect Mr. T. O'Donovan, manager of the creamery, from further intimidation and assault; and whether he is aware that since the matter was raised in this House the houses of Mr. T. O'Donovan and the engineman, Mr. Twomey, have been burned down by uniformed men?

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland what is the result of his inquiry, as promised on the 18th November, into the ransacking and burning of the house occupied by the manager of the Abberdorney Creamery?

Inquiries with a view to discovering the perpetrators of the attack on this creamery and the assault of the manager on the 18th ultimo and of the subsequent destruction of the two houses referred to are still proceeding. I am informed that the police are taking all possible steps to ensure the protection of the manager from further assault or intimidation.
