HC Deb 25 November 1920 vol 135 c657W
Sir HARRY BRITTAIN

asked the Prime Minister what is the total personnel employed in the British representation at the League of Nations Conference at Geneva; what proportion of this total is being financially supported by Great Britain; and what is the approximate amount per month of the cost involved?

The PRIME MINISTER

The total personnel employed in the British representation at the League of Nations Conference at Geneva is 41; this total includes British representatives and their secretaries, Departmental advisers, clerks, and messengers. The whole of this total is being financially supported by Great Britain. It is impossible to reply yet to the last part of the question, as only the cost of feeding and housing the representation is involved, no additional salaries being paid to the representation, which is composed entirely of servants of the State.
