HC Deb 24 November 1920 vol 135 cc441-2W
Major GLYN

asked the Minister of Pensions whether serving officers who wear artificial limbs have to bear the cost of their upkeep and repair; and whether this difference of treatment between officers and men suffering the same disability has been made for any reason?

Major TRYON

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I am informed that non-commissioned officers and men are discharged from the Service when they have been fitted with an artificial limb. The second part of the question does not therefore arise. I may add that there is no difference of treatment between officers and men when both have left the Service.
