§ Major GLYNasked the Minister of Pensions whether serving officers who 442W wear artificial limbs have to bear the cost of their upkeep and repair; and whether this difference of treatment between officers and men suffering the same disability has been made for any reason?
§ Major TRYONThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I am informed that non-commissioned officers and men are discharged from the Service when they have been fitted with an artificial limb. The second part of the question does not therefore arise. I may add that there is no difference of treatment between officers and men when both have left the Service.
