HC Deb 23 November 1920 vol 135 cc239-40W
Major HENDERSON

asked the Secretary of State for War whether any decision has yet been reached in regard to the claims of ex-soldier clerks in the War Office to pensions?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

Sanction was given in April last for all ex-soldier clerks of approved service and efficiency, with pre-War service as such in the War Office, and who were not more than 60 years of age on 1st March, 1920, to be considered for the pensionable establishment. The necessary steps have been taken accordingly for the issue of Civil Service certificates of qualification in the cases of clerks fulfilling the conditions specified.
