HC Deb 22 November 1920 vol 135 c74W
Mr. LINDSAY

asked the Postmaster-General if the deepening of the inner harbour at Holyhead has been begun, and when it is expected to be completed?

Sir E.GEDDES

My right hon. Friend has asked me to answer this question. The London and North Western Railway Company recently submitted proposals for the execution by them of various works at the inner harbour, including the deepening of the existing berths. I have approved provisionally the capital expenditure involved, but the works have not yet been commenced, as the lease is not settled, and I am, therefore, not at present in a position to state the probable date of their completion.
