WILSONasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture the amount of affiliation fees received last year by the Agricultural Organisation Society from farmers' societies and allotment societies, respectively; and what was the total amount of grants from public funds to that Society last year and the total amount paid by that Society in salaries and expenses of officials, governors, and committees last year?
Sir A. BOSCAWENDuring the financial year ended 31st March last, the Agricultural Organisation Society received affiliation fees amounting to£5,972 17s. from farmers' societies and £1,017 12s. 6d. from allotments' societies. The total amount of grants received from public funds during that year was£40,600, and the total amount paid by the Society in salaries and expenses of officials, governors and committees, was£30,417 7s. 5d.
