§ Mr. MONTAGUThe Seditious Meetings Act (X. of 1911) contains the provisions for dealing with meetings in areas which have been specially proclaimed. The Police Acts of the several provinces, which differ in detail, give the police, under directions of a magistrate, certain powers of regulating public meetings.
