SMITHasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if it is a fact that the established branch of the Inland Revenue have not yet been paid out the advances in wages due to the men concerned under Award 81A of the Civil Service Arbitration Board; whether this agreement is now nearly three months old; and whether he will cause inquiries to be made into the matter with a view to the award being put into operation?
§ Mr. BALDWINThe calculation of the sums under the Award in question was a complicated process and necessarily occupied some time. All payments due have, however, now been made.
