§ Sir A. MONDThe approximate number of German combatants and civilians buried in this country is 2,500. Under the Peace Treaty the British Government is bound to give facilities for the transport of bodies of German combatants to Germany, but no official request to this effect has been brought to the notice of the Imperial War Graves Commission. The care of the graves in question has recently been for the time being entrusted to my Department and arrangements are now being made for a complete survey.
