§ Mr. W. THORNEasked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware that no alterations have been made in the fees payable to full-time clerks to the local old age pensions committees since the commencement of the Old Age Pensions Act, 1908; and if he can see his way to make a strong representation to the Treasury for an increase of the fees payable to such officers in view of the high cost of living?
§ Mr. BALDWINAfter very careful consideration of this matter, I have reached the conclusion that there is no justification for an increase of the fees in question.
