Mr. E. HORNEasked the President of the Board of Education whether between 20 and 30 children, whose ages range from nine years upwards, from Gomshall and Peaslake, in Surrey, who have to attend the schools in Guildford, are obliged to hang about Guildford for some hour and a half in the evening waiting for the 5.30 p.m. train, and that in the case Of those living at Peaslake this means a walk home of 2½ miles after 6 p.m.; whether there is a train leaving Guildford at 4.18 p.m., which would be available for them if it could be stopped at Gomshall; and whether, in view of the approaching winter and the danger to the children's health, he will make representations to the railway company to grant the facilities asked for?
