§ Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSONasked the Home Secretary whether he is now in a position to state the result of the consideration by him of the recommendation submitted by the Wood Green Council on 20th October, 1919, in favour of an award to certain members of the Wood Green Fire Brigade in recognition of the courage and efficiency displayed by them on the occasion of the explosion and fire at the Edmonton munition factory on 11th October, 1918; and, if so, will the Council be informed of the result by his Department at an early date?
§ Mr. SHORTTThe list of awards to firemen was published in a Supplement to the "London Gazette," dated the 7th July. The case of the Wood Green Brigade was very carefully considered along with the other recommendations submitted, but I regret that I did not feel justified in recommending the award of medals in their case.
