§ Mr. MUNROOf 16,003 houses for which tenders were approved by the Scottish Board of Health, as at the 15th October, 1,464 are of stone, 13,485 of brick, 462 of brick with stone fronts, 86 of concrete, and 506 of timber. The numbers under construction are: Stone, 718; brick, 4,300; brick, with stone fronts, 156; concrete, 10; timber, 254. The numbers completed are: Stone, 187; brick, 179; timber, 182.
