§ Mr. J. DAVISONasked the Prime Minister whether the proposal to find employment for ex-service men in the foundry trades has yet been submitted to the executive councils of the trade unions concerned; and, if not, whether it is the intention of the Government to consult them upon the matter?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAI have been asked to reply. The National Trade Advisory Committee for the Engineering Trades have invited the Foundry Trades to discuss with them the training of fit ex-service men for foundry work. No definite reply has yet been received, and we are pressing for a reply before the 5th November, when the National Committee again meet to consider the matter.
