Elections for the Medjliss have been in progress for some time, and the former Persian Cabinet hoped to convene Parliament at an early date. A new Cabinet is being formed, but the probable date of the opening of the Medjliss cannot yet be announced. Pending the completion of the Cabinet, the general situation at Teheran appears normal.
