§ Sir R. HORNEThere has been an appreciable fall in the price of cotton during the past eight months. As regards the second part of the question, I am unable to say whether the price of sewing cotton will be reduced at an early date. The present price of sewing cotton, as compared with the reduced price of cotton, had already come under the notice of the Central Committee appointed under the Profiteering Acts, and is now being investigated by the Standing Committee on Trusts.
