HC Deb 06 May 1920 vol 128 c2258W
Mr. ALFRED T. DAVIES

asked the Minister of Health whether it is proposed, in connection with the administration allowance under the National Health Insurance Act, to increase or revise such allowances to meet increased expenses of administration, especially in the cases of paid workers of approved societies?

Dr. ADDISON

It is intended, in the event of the National Health Insurance Bill becoming law, to increase the administration allowance of Approved Societies by 1s. per member per annum from the 1st January last, and also to make a further increase to compensate societies for the extra charge which will be imposed on their administration funds by reason of the increased postal charges proposed in the Budget.
