HC Deb 06 May 1920 vol 128 c2272W
Mr. C. EDWARDS

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture when the last case of rabies was proved in Monmouthshire; and when the Muzzling Order and all the Regulations consequent upon the outbreak of this disease will be withdrawn?

Sir A. BOSCAWEN

The last case of rabies was confirmed in Monmouthshire on 13th October last. An Order will come into operation on the 8th inst., by which Monmouth will be freed of all muzzling restrictions. The effect of this Order is that, on and after the 8th inst., South Wales will be free of muzzling restrictions except in the case of the comparatively small areas in the Cardiff and Bridgend districts.
