HC Deb 05 May 1920 vol 128 c2111W
Viscount WOLMER

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions whether he is aware that the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic) have refused to grant the North Hampshire Golf Club an extension of the hours during which alcoholic refreshment may be served on the occasion of a dance to be given at the club on 20th May; and whether he can state what justification there is for action of this sort?

Mr. HOPE

I am informed that the facts are as stated, and that under present circumstances the Central Control Board do not consider it desirable to make exceptions from the general rule against extension of drinking hours in favour of such occasions as that referred to in the question.
