HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 cc1732-3W
Earl WINTERTON

asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the fact that applicants for assistance from the Civil Liabilities Department are being referred in some cases to the trustees of the King's Fund, his Department has any control over the administration of that fund?

Dr. MACNAMARA: I have no control over the administration of the King's Fund. Certain cases which were ineligible for grants, so far as the Civil Liabilities Department is concerned, were referred to the King's Fund, but I understand that this fund is now exhausted, and that no more transfers are taking place. In this connection I would refer my Noble Friend to the answer which I gave to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for Leyton East (Lieut.-Colonel Malone) on Monday last, a copy of which I am sending him.
