HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 cc1731-2W
Captain BROWN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture whether he will issue a list showing by counties the number of ex-service candidates for land, the number settled, the number for whom land has been bought, and the number outstanding, etc., in order that public opinion may be brought to bear on those authorities that are not making adequate provision?

Sir A. BOSCAWEN

At present a monthly statement is issued by the Ministry and circulated to all County Councils giving particulars as regards each county of all applications for smallholdings, the number of men settled, the outstanding demand. I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a copy of the last list issued, and I propose to have the list sent to the Press each month in future.
